21st International Week of Film Critics, an official section of the 63rd Venice Film Festival

Dear Friends,We are extremely happy to inform you that we are organizing the 21st International Week of Film Critics, an official section of the 63rd Venice Film Festival, to be held in Venice from August 30th to September 9th 2006.

In order to take part in the 21st International Week of Film Critics, films, which should be 35mm, must be the director’s first full-length film. The works automatically excluded from the Festival are: films already given any form of public screening in Italy; films already being distributed outside their country (or countries) of origin (with the possible exception of European works that have only been screened in bordering nations with the same language, or those non-European films that have not been screened outside their respective sub-continents); not have been shown in public in their country of origin before August 2004. Works that have already been screened (in or out of competition) at other intern atiol film festivals are automatically excluded.
A maximum of 7 full-length films will be selected by the General Delegate of the International Week of Film Critics, Mr Francesco Di Pace, assisted by a group of critics: Massimo Causo, Adriano De Grandis, Marco Lombardi, Silvana Silvestri.

We would be glad to view your recent debut films for our preselection: please kindly send us a Vhs or a Dvd of your films (together with the attached preselection entry form and some information on the film) to the following address, absolutely by June 30th:
